A Lovely Surprise!

My very special friend, Sarah, surprised me last night with a belated birthday pressie!

Just look at all this lot!

Sarah knows me so well, and I love nothing more than homemade cards and gifts.

She made the card by creating her own 'fabric' using water soluble fabric & lots of stitchery magic!

Look at my lovely mug rug - there's no way a drippy cup of anything is going near this beauty!  This is going up on my wall!

All my favourite colours!

Mine all mine!

Just look at this amazing stitching.
And Sarah knows that I'm not a 'big mug' person (the old bladder's just not what it used to be!) and bought me this adorable, perfectly sized mug.  It's so cute, I love it!

Finally, as well as making this adorable basket, it was filled with stamping goodies!  I've been wanting to start stamping my own quilt labels, and now I can!

What a lovely surprise.  Thanks friend.  You are one in a million!

  3. Awesome booty!! I was just wondering if an embroidered mug rug is machine washable-- and then read that you are going to hang it and not use it. I like small mugs, too, but for a different reason-- I like my coffee hot, and when I fill a regular sized mug full, it cools off before I get to the bottom. Enjoy your goodies!! I like the way you re-designed/updated your/ header.

  5. I'm keeping an eye out for all those creative labels now, friend! Glad you like the random selection of pressies. Enjoy!

Great adjustments to the blog name and strap line fonts too. Loving the soft focus on the mosaic too. Very cool!
