I even got the bare legs out today!
But what I've been working on recently hasn't exactly been summery!
These are hot water bottle covers for part of a Gifts course I'll be running in the Autumn!
Shannon very kindly made me some grey and yellow QAYG panels and I constructed the cover.
This one is an Irish linen and Heather Ross mix - always a winning combo IMO!
Using up leftover fleece from a quilt backing |
And finally, a fleecy number! So snuggly!
All of these covers have Insul Bright wadding inside to make sure they retain the heat for those cold winter evenings!
So it was hot inside and out after working on these!
Some of you on IG have very kindly expressed an interest in the pattern for these. Thank you, I'm tickled pink! But I'm afraid you'll have to wait until the Autumn, but I will post about here when it's ready!
Hope you are getting some sunshine in your neck of the woods!

these make a hot water bottle look so much nicer. a lovely gift idea mind you I have an electric blanket, would be lost without it
ReplyDeleteI'm in line for the pattern! Love these.
ReplyDeleteKeep soaking in the sun. It's supposed to be a scorcher here in Galway today!
August is the perfect time to come out with the pattern. Hope it sells like hot cakes.
ReplyDeleteThese will make great gifts for the autumn and winter. Feels so lovely not to need them this week though!
ReplyDeleteHi Judith! How i missed this fun post? Love the First photo and the rugs! Beautiful covers, too! An year ago i was thinking so much how to cover the hot water bottle but now i don't need it at all. I wish I had seen then yours! Have a great day! x Teje
ReplyDeleteWe've had the sun and the heat, and I've been trapped in an office all day *sob* I'm not sure if the fact that it's mostly glass so we can see the sun makes it better or worse...
ReplyDeleteHottie covers though, what a week to choose to make them!
These look lovely!!
