More beautiful sunshine today! Yay!
Yesterday's batch sewing was all about Ipad covers!
A while ago I had fun using these self covered buttons from Fabric Yard! I find them so much easier to use than the metal ones with teeth!!
I think they add just the right final touches to these simple covers.
And we were productive in Bee Blessed today too!
We love getting all your blocks each month, and so enjoy laying them out and putting them together into gorgeous quilts! I know it takes a while to see your blocks made up into quilts, so thank you for your patience.
Have a brilliant weekend!

Fab Friday!
The sun was shining today, and it's the end of the week! Ah, what could be better!
Today's batch sewing is all about Kindle & Kindle Fire covers:
These wee pouches are simply and quickly made, but my favourite part was getting to play with these!

Oh what fun punching in these cute fasteners!
The stock is building up nicely!
And with only 1 daughter at home today, and Bee Blessed in the afternoon, Saturday is shaping up to be another day of sewing (after I clean the house that is - boo!)

A Flurry of Finishes!
Despite an hour in the dentist's chair this morning, (and a frozen eyebrow for the first time ever!!) I managed to get these peg bags finished off today!
And tonight saw the end of my Sewing machine cover class.
Aren't they brilliant! All made to measure with lots of personal touches! There's even an overlocker hidden in there!
Well done ladies on your beautiful covers!

Of Mice and Men!
Well the best laid plans sometimes go ary!
Sadly I didn't make it here:
Sadly I didn't make it here:
Daughter was still too poorly (though improving now) and I was utterly exhausted. But it sounds like a brill time was had by all (going by all the foody pics on IG!) and I know there will be other opportunities in the future to meet up with my bee mates.
What I did get to do instead, was lots of sewing! With youngest daughter staying at a friend's house and poorly daughter tucked up in bed, I had a few hours of uninterrupted sewing!
A few pencil cases to put into my sister's shop. And also some make-up style pouches:
There was a little bit of recycling going on there, with the navy corduroy pouches. There are a few more make-up bags to come (sorry!) which are part-way finished.
I also got another wee commission project ticked off my list today, but I'll show you that another time!
So while I was missing sewing alongside my Brit Bee buddies this weekend (and not getting to see Uni daughter today) I still managed to get the sewing done which I would have brought away with me.
And now a storm is closing in, so it's time to batten down the hatches and snuggle up under a quilt!

September Smalls!
I didn't get linking up yesterday with Lily's Quilts Fresh Sewing Day. So I'll show you my mosaic of makes for September today instead!
Lots of smalls! And there will be lots more smalls to come in October too!
I also got a couple of wee gifts made today!
I'm pleased I got anything done today, with poorly child still at home and the inevitable visits to the doctors and pharmacy!
I think she's finally on the mend now, which means I've got today to get packed and organised for the Brit Bee Retreat starting tomorrow!

Dilly Bag Blog Hop!
I'm so excited to be part of the #dillybagalong Blog Hop! Welcome! Welcome!
This is my first ever blog hop, so bear with me!
The lovely Angie asked me to join in the fun making Judy Newman's Dilly Bag, and after seeing Marie's gorgeous Dilly bag first hand I couldn't resist!
So here goes!
The main body of the bag is made from EPP hexies. After changing my mind a few times, I settled on liberty and vintage prints, with a few embroidered fussy cuts thrown in for good measure!
I enjoy basting hexies much more than sewing them together! But I persevered and got my panel made over the weekend.
As liberty and vintage prints are quite thin I spray starched them before quilting the panel (going off pattern here!) and was glad to read that Sharon had also quilted hers! I simply ditch quilted in the vertical columns.
To give you a sense of scale and size of the bag, here it is on my daughter's head (don't ask!).
After that, the bag came together really quickly. The time consuming part was deciding what fabric to use in the lining and the gathered bit at the top! I didn't put pockets in my lining and quilted some craft weight vilene into the base instead of making a base from templastic as stated in the pattern.
I'm not allowed to show you the finished bag yet, so you'll have to wait until the big reveal of all the finished Dilly bags on 17th October, when you can also vote for your favourite!
(I found the pattern easy to follow, but it assumes a certain level of knowledge. So if you are a beginner to EPP (English Paper Piecing) you may struggle a bit.)
And be sure to check out all the other gorgeous bags in the blog hop:
