Basting for Britain!

No, I'm not talking about the 'turkey in the oven' kind of basting!!

My run on making quilt tops these past few weeks has meant a build up of getting them basted to wadding and backings.

Basted Quilts

I got my Marmalade Table Runner, Brit Bee Giant Star Wallhanging & Pixilated Heart quilt tops fully basted and Vintage Purple & a Bee Blessed Hugs and Kisses quilt half basted (they need pieced backs).

Think I'll give the old knees a wee rest now!

And now that the sun is finally out, that can only mean one thing....

Revising (with help!)

... REVISING!  (even Poppy is out in sympathy!)

Enjoy the sunshine (if you have any!).

  1. Well done for getting the basting done I don't think it's anyone's favourite part of the process! No sunshine here just rain! I'd even do some revising if we could have some x

  7. Huh, still wet and rainy here, and since my 15m roll of batting appears to have gone walkies in the post, I won't be basting anything any time soon either :o/

  13. I am in the exact same situation. Lots and lots of tops and I can't seem to get them layered and basted. I guess we just like piecing too much :)
The sun has been mighty here in Galway. I even had dinner outside last night. Crazy! Looks like you guys (pup too!) are enjoying it.
