This is the current view from my patio door!
We needed more space in our cramped bathroom, so we thought we'd just move it outside!!!
For the past 4 weeks we've had our new shower, toilet, bath and sink sitting in our lounge (anyone for communal bathing?). It's so good that the work has finally started!
In more interesting, sewing news, I had some time yesterday to get my October bee commitments done.
The first star block is for Susan (Brit Bee) who provided stunning pinks and red & Kona coal for the background.
Below that one is a granny squares block from my own stash, for Wendy (Sew Bee Happy).
And on the right Karen (Modern Irish Bee) sent me some lovely Cath Kidson fabrics to make a scrappy heart block, and she also wanted some smaller scrappy hearts in whatever way we choose to make them. I left these smaller hearts 'free' so that Karen can applique them into the quilt in whatever way she likes.
So that's me up square for October, and it's only the 8th! Not bad!
Hope you've had a great start to the week!
Hey, in the old days bathing in front of the fire was all the rage ;o)
ReplyDeleteLove the blocks :o)
I hope you get your bathroom where it belongs before winter.
ReplyDeleteLove that star block.
ReplyDeleteLove the other blocks, but my block is pure genius!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome bee month for you. Gorgeous makes! Loving Susan's star esp! I'm looking forward to Karen's blocks...they're a new mental leap for me which is totally welcome!
ReplyDeleteGreat bee blocks. Susan's star is really eye catching. Building work is never fun so I hope that your bathroom is fully operational real soon. It could be a bit nippy in the mornings if you use the outdoor facilities! Di x
ReplyDeleteHa - we're due to start ripping out our bathroom next week. I am SO not looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteBlocks are gorgeous, as always and so diverse! Your talent knows no boundaries...
What great blocks - the one for Susan really pops! - I hope you take a pic of your finished bathroom and glad you aren't having to bathe in the garden in the rain!
ReplyDeleteHope the bathroom goes quickly! Know all about that... Gorgeous gorgeous blocks, especially one for suse :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the outdoor bathing and your blocks are beautiful. How great to be done after the first week!
ReplyDeleteSusan's block looks absolutely fabulous! And the others too!

Wonderful blocks, as always.
ReplyDeleteLove that star for Susan - so striking! Your other blocks are great too - the hearts are very sweet and grannies are just so pleasant on the eye, aren't they?

ReplyDeleteI am not sure you got the 'hot tub in the garden' thing quite right, yet- a bit more work needed on that?
ReplyDeletethe sewing looks fine though!
The blocks are beautiful but I especially like making star blocks, is that one of your own making or has it a name -I would love to have a shot at making it.
ReplyDeleteHi Jude, you very, very kindly sent a copy of this star pattern of Susans, to me, through her, and it is fantastic (I have already made a few for my bee, and have a few more to make). Could you tell please me what book it's from, as i wondered if it had other good blocks in it, and might like to buy it, thx, Ange : )
