Today I can show you this....
This boho-style pieced dresden cushion is Jo's pattern, found in issue 10 of Love Patchwork & Quilting (pg77).
It's a really easy pattern to follow and I loved the addition of the 'on-trend' pom-poms!
I teamed some Amy Butler Soul Blossoms with Essex yarn dyed linen (black). The only change I made from the original pattern was to quilt the front and back.
I really like how it has turned out, and so does no.1 daughter, who says it matches her other cushions perfectly (hint, hint)!!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Judith! Love this combination of fabrics and great idea to quilt both front and backs - I have never quilted a back before but it is a good idea and will try it myself - thanks! Pleased you found the pattern easy to follow too. x
ReplyDeletegorgeous pillow Judith. And your daughter is right, it does match her pillows perfectly :).
ReplyDeletethe pom poms just set it off, are they local? The dresden is gorgeous

ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love that your girls are staking claims on your makes...
ReplyDeleteLove your cushions and yep the pompom trim looks fabulous around the edge
ReplyDeleteI have always been partial to a dresden as making an EPP dresden a few years ago was how I became interested in starting to sew. The pom pom trim really sets it off well. x
