Summer Soft!

Happy 4th of July to all my American friends!!

The weather here has been rubbish, so I'm just going to pretend it is summer, that it's 28 degrees outside, and that I'm still sitting in my garden with a cold pear cider in hand!! (indulge me!)

This is 'Summer Soft'.

She is made from the sumptuously soft 'feel the difference' fabrics by Art Gallery (Bazaar Style, Paradise & Dreaming in French collections).

Perfect for long summer evenings in the garden! (still dreaming!)

This is a great 'beginner friendly' project with simple piecing and repeating blocks, and you can find the pattern in the July issue of British Patchwork and Quilting magazine.

I hope you are enjoying some sunshine wherever you are!

Happy sunning!

  1. Such a beautiful quilt, well done!!! Hope the weather gets better for you soon. It's quite hot and humid here so I'm really, really hoping for a few cooler, rainy days :)

  2. I could send you a lot of sunshine! I can't sit in the garden because it is too hot! The quilt is lovely, it really gives you a feeling of summer.

  3. Hi Judith! I do hope the lovely English couple that just left from the hotel, carries lots of these heat and bring it to you! Here it is unbearable hot and already long time...and still long time ahead.
I love your quilt! Simple patterns are beautiful and they show well the beautiful fabrics! Lovely colours, too - like the 'nightless night' in Finland. x Teje

  4. Gorgeous quilt! I also love how they styled it in the picture for the magazine.
