Baby Fun!

Last chance to enter my Zazzle giveaway here!

A very special friend of mine will be having her baby soon (squeeee!) so a 'baby shower' was called for!

I had never been to a baby shower before (they aren't native to UK!) but oh what fun!

Thank you Tina for hosting and keeping us laughing in lots of baby related entertainment!

There was of course lots of gift giving! (I'm now addicted to baby departments in every store!)

I found this great tutorial on Pinterest for a baby changing clutch.

Out with the Girls!

Last night was a fun night in with some loonies  girlfriends.  We giggled, played games and laughed lots!  Medicine for the soul!

Girl's Night In!
One of the games - making newspaper hats - my team won!! Sarah's modelling the winning hat!
We did Secret Santa.  I made these coasters .... and partnered them with the obligatory Christmas Chocolate orange (no, it's not Terry's)!

Secret Santa Coasters
They went down very well!
And Santa (aka Heather) got me these!

My secret santa goodies from Heather Dec13

There were 2 birthday girls to celebrate too!

For Sarah I made a basket to pop lots of goodies in (unfortunately 1 item is yet to arrive, hoping to have it soon Sarah!)

And for Ruth, I made this picture.  The sense of humour in it is right up Ruth's street!

A great night was had by all!  Thank you ladies! Can't wait for the next one!

Saturday Sewing

Well the present making fervour continued a pace yesterday.

Here's what I got done:

For my sister (to accompany a teabag wallet & tissue pouch):

For my mum (to accompany the mugrug/hostess box set):

A journal cover

Teeny tiny crochet heart by Attic 24
For my eldest daughter:

Journal Cover

Recycled crochet trim from lovely Terri

For my middle daughter (the footie fanatic):

Journal Cover

After seeing these book covers, my husband decided he would like a cover for his new 2012 diary, so I managed to get some pieces cut out from leftover Indigo Berries.  Will show you more when I get it finished.

My sister & her family are visiting with us today, and I can't wait to give them all their hand made pressies!  There is definitely more joy in the giving than the receiving!

Have a restful Sunday!

2 Faced in Print

Remember this?

This cushion is called '2 Faced' and I made it to teach at my Oasis class.

Well now it's in here:

September issue of Irish Quilting - there's even a photo of me at the start of the magazine!  Although I'm not really from Co.Tyrone, as printed!!!
One more thing to show you.

A lovely lady from my Oasis class had major surgery a few weeks ago, and won't be able to come to class for a few months.

The others in the class wanted to give her something, so I made this basket and we filled it up with lots of smellies and goodies.

This is an upsized version of Ayumi's mini basket.

She now has the basket in her safe keeping & I'm told she loved it.

We miss her and wish her a speedy recovery.

Happy Monday one and all!
