Positives!

April was a busy and eventful month for me, and packed full of positives, which is probably why it has whizzed past so quickly!

I had my first proper Easter break in ages ...

Tollymore April'15

I played host to 2 very special quilty friends ....

Bee Blessed April'15

and was granted my Decree Nisi.

There was lots of warm sunny weather in April too, which meant a few extra hours pottering about in the garden!

On the sewing front, an average month, and few extra projects I can't show yet!

April '15 Roundup

So all in all, a month full of positives.

Happy 'first of the month' to you all!

Mellow Yellow!

Miniature daffs 1/3/15

So lovely to see these miniature daffodils in my garden at last! Despite the persistent cold and wintery showers, spring is definitely pushing through!

In February's round up it may come as no surprise to learn that I made 18 blocks (2 are still secret so no revealing just yet!):

Feb15 Roundup

It's a privilege to be able to contribute to several very worthwhile and special causes.

February will also be the month that I will forever remember the passing of my dear Brit Bee friend, Terri! She collected all the selvedges that went into the making of the 2 red star blocks up there.  These will be included in her Brit Bee quilts, which she was unable to finish herself, but which Brit Bee will complete and pass on to her 2 daughters, as per Terri's wishes.

Her life, loves and legacy live on - Brit Bee Forever!

Happy New Year!

Happy 2015 to all my lovely readers and bloggy friends!

This is going to be an exciting year of changes and new opportunities around here!

But before I get ahead of myself, a wee look back on 2014!

My year in quilts .....

There were of course many more smaller makes, too many to show here, but December's mosaic alone kind of sums it up!!!

April seems to have been a 'pouches and quilts' kind of month!

Hope you've had a creative April!

54 Sleeps til Christmas!!

Yikes!  It's November!

As usual, the last month has whizzed by in a flurry of thread and wadding!

Here's (some) of what I made in October:

October 13 Roundup

I haven't yet blogged about all of the items you see here, but I hope to tell you all about them soon.

And here are my contributions to the Bee Blessed craft sale table, happening Saturday 9th November:

For the Bee Blessed Craft Table

I may or may not get a few more sale items made.  With only 1 week to go to our In Stitches Exhibition/Fund Raiser, there is still much to do!  Watch this space!

And for all you Bee Blessed contributors, check out the block for November, over on Sarah's blog!

A New Term!

It's hard for me to believe that it is September, the end of summer, the start of Autumn (supposedly) and a return to early mornings and the school routine for my 3 girls.

I'm not going to reflect on the summer, except to show you here what I made in August.

aug13 Roundup

August 13 bee blocks

Now I'm focussed on looking forward to the new term of classes, (for me and my girls!) and in many ways, a new beginning and hopefully a new 'normal'.

September also heralds the return of Bee Blessed, and the new block of the month.

Check out the tutorial here if you fancy having a go at this easy peasy Double 4 Patch block for us.

Thank you for all the donations of blocks over the summer. I'm looking forward to catching up with fellow Bee members and seeing the blocks all come together.  We will also be starting preparations for our Fund Raiser/Exhibition in November, but more on that nearer the time!

Have a great start to the new month!

No Fool Like an Old Fool!

Here in the UK, we have just endured our coldest March since 1962!

With such unseasonal weather, there's nothing else for it than to quilt, sew, buy more fabric, join swaps, and meet up with bloggy friends!

Mar13 Roundup

All of the above (bar one) are presents.  I hope to get some pics this week of 'wee man' with his Plus Quilt!  It was very well received!

And with a reprieve in Brit Bee this month, not just as many blocks to make either:

Blocks for Mar13

Bee Blessed Blocks Mar13

The highlight for me this month was getting together with some very special bloggy friends!

Bloggers Meet up Mar13

Let's hope April is A LOT WARMER!

Who Stole November?

Contrary to the evidence, I'm still in complete denial that we are anywhere near Christmas, that it is now officially December and that November has finished already!

Here is what I achieved in November (that I can show you anyway!):

Nov12 Roundup

And the bee blocks I got made:

Bee Blocks Nov12

And a few wee extra brooches for class samples:

Brooches Class Nov12

In all honesty, I'm really looking forward to December!  To slowing down the pace a bit (I hope!), and enjoying some much needed R&R with my family!

I am so thankful that we have been healthy and happy this Autumn, despite the fast pace of life pressing in!

I hope you've had a creative and productive November!

A New Month!

Could someone please slow down the seasons please?

I'm reluctantly letting go of September! I was crazy busy, but you'd never know from looking at my monthly Roundup Mosaic:

I have been sewing more than what I can show you here - just so you know I haven't been lazing around all day watching day-time TV nonsense!  It is mostly class samples for the new term next year, the programme for which hopefully comes out later this month.

In Bee Blessed we have decided to run the Crazy patchwork block for one more month, so if you didn't get a chance to rustle one up in September, you have one more month to have a go.  They are starting to come in now from bloggy supporters, and they look fab! You can see all the crazy goodness for yourself here.

Wishing you all a wonderful start to the new month!

July Roundup

July seems to have been a month of making mostly blocks:

Hope you have had a creative month too!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone!

May 2012 be filled with blessings, good health and wondrous creativity for you all!

In true 'first day of the month' tradition with Lily's Quilts 'Fresh Sewing Day', here is my roundup mosaic of December makes (not quite everything, but you get the idea! It was Christmas afterall!).
