Wristlet Pin Cushion Tutorial

It's Friday!  Yey!

I hope you are keeping safe in this inclement weather and looking forward to the weekend!

During my last blogiversary giveaway I asked for feedback on what you would like to see more of on quilting blogs.  The unanimous answer was 'tutorials'!!

So here's a great wee make to kick off a new year of tutes!!

Isn't as big in reality as it looks here!!
I am finding more and more how valuable it is to have a pin cushion attached to my wrist while I'm sewing, especially since receiving this cutie from Katy!

When I'm working on larger projects like quilts, my pinnies tend to get pushed onto the floor, into my bin and generally knocked around my sewing room!

Well not anymore!

  1. This is one of those items that makes you feel like a "proper" sewist! Knowing me, I'd be likely to go out still wearing it though!

  2. Thanks, Jude, for such a fab tutorial. It's a stormy day here so I think I'll give it a try. :)

  3. Very practical and pretty. I have one that has a plastic band, and I don't like the feel of the plastic on my wrist, so tend not to use it. I like Sarah's comment above...might find yourself at the grocery with your new bracelet on...could be styling !

  7. are you a mind reader? Having read Susan' post about her pin cushion, had just thought I want one, and there you go. (by the by, loved you said inclement weather - I put a sign on our work door saying "shut early due to inclement weather" and the other staff laughed and took it down. Surely anybody going to a library knows what inclement means. Still annoyed 3 years later)
