Isn't snow meant to fall vertically, not horizontally? In fact, it has been snowing sideways now since last night, and is forecast to continue until Sunday! Groan!

Well, it might not be a day for being out and about so that means one thing - sewing!!
I got 2 more blocks made to make up the deficit on a Bee Blessed quilt:
And then I turned these donated Farmer's Wife style blocks into a lap size quilt top, also for Bee Blessed.
I love this little quilt! I could look at all the different blocks for ages!
But I'm thinking it needs a skinny border, followed by a final narrow white border before I bind it!
What do you think?
I love the quilt, especially the cute little doggy patch. As you already have a white border I might just put a colourful binding on it to enclose the quilt, unless of course, you wanted to make it larger.

ReplyDeleteI had a doubtful pleasure of walking round the city, accompanied with this horizontal snow today - my shoes soaked wet, and the wind tried to steal my beanie a few times... Something's seriously wrong with Spring 2013 ;) But when I look at the quilt, I feel spring as it should be, without 10cm of slush. I think the quilt is perfect it is right now, it's fresh & crisp looking.

Nice fresh spring quilt, Judith! I would just bind the quilt with colour and leave it at that, It's beautiful as it is.

ReplyDeleteYour poor daffs! I think I have lost my beautiful lenten roses which just bloomed their dusky pink lovelinesa last week beneath the neighbourhood digout of snow this morning!!
ReplyDeleteI think that your border idea is great if you have the time, but like H says, you've probably finished it by now and you'll have made a good choice no matter what you decided!
The blocks look great set on point like that and I agree about the borders! Hope the snow has stopped...
