Here it is:
This block was made by Sarah and in the absence of knowing its proper name, is called 'The Great Big Kiss'.
You can find the tutorial for it here as well as a stunning example of a quilt Sarah made using this block.
If you can spare a half an hour to make and donate one of these blocks, we would be so thrilled. We would love it if you could use solid white for the background and one other fabric for the X (any colour). As always the blocks are 12.5" unfinished.
We have had some touching feedback recently from recipients of donated quilts. Please be assured that your blocks are making quilts which are bringing comfort to folks in ways we could not have imagined.
As the theme of this post is 'A Great Big Kiss' I'll leave you with a picture from one of my favourite artists, Sam Toft, called Big Smackeroo!
Excellent picture of a kiss there! Now, I really would like to find the time to hop back on the Blessed bandwagon. I shall try my best.
ReplyDeleteI completely lost track of Bee Blessed and thought I'd missed some instructions. I kept meaning to email you or Sarah to ask. This looks like a great block I'll be adding it to my list of things to do. Love the kissy picture too :-)
ReplyDeleteI will try to send you a couple of big smackers by the end of the month xxx
ReplyDeleteI'll try harder to get some smackeroo's for you :)
ReplyDeleteMmwah. I will do my best to get my sewing in hand and make a kiss or two! Di x
ReplyDeleteThat looks like an easy kiss.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely block!
