Look Who's Watching!

I got my Across the Sea blocks done for the quilt back:

I felt I still needed a wee bit of white in there even though the main background will be this boyish, mid blue.

And look who was watching me the whole time I was sewing!

How brave am I even taking a picture of this critter (I was only about a foot away from it!)?

He's still in my sewing room somewhere - I can happily live in harmony with spiders as long as they stick to their side of the room!

Happy Monday!

  1. EEEEEKKKK! *hides under the sofa* That spider wouldn't last 24 hrs in my sewing space!

  2. That's a monster - we had one in the bedroom last night too and I'm afraid there's no living with them for me!

  4. We've had three in the house in as many weeks. I wanted to walk past one to go to bed the other night but it was just sat on the carpet in the door way. I had to spritz it with room spray from a safe distance in order to get it to move.

  5. Oh man what is that spider? Is it one of those "False black widdow" things? You are brave, I wouldn't rest till it was "gone"!!! Lovely blocks too btw!

  6. eeeww - this time of year always seems to bring out spiders, I have a few in the house at the moment. I also tend to leave them but my youngest freaks out and closes all the doors in the house so that they can't get her!

  9. Aaaargh, that should have a warning on it! Although his pal is somewhere under the sofa here. As long as he stays there, I'm good...

  11. Spiders love my house. Given half a chance they would over run it. So I Hoover them every chance I can get! Oh, and love your backing blocks.

  12. Oh I like spiders - the way they get rid of any flies - send them over to me! As long as they are not poisonous that is!

Your blocks are fabulous are you doing two background colours then? Like it!

  13. We have one of his cousins in our living room just now. I heard the other day there if you put a conker in the corner of the room it keeps spiders away....

  15. Ugh...could have done with a warning before that came up...fortunately I'd just put my cup of tea down so I could cover my eyes and press the down cursor! The QAL blocks look great but the thing I'm taking from this post is to always check the room for invaders before proceeding with block placement!
