Hi's and Lo's!

It is with a very heavy heart that I write this post.

Today the sun was shining, and I managed to finally finish a project I'd been grabbing snatches at all week.  It's a project for my new program in September, designed from scratch.

I was chuffed to bits with how it turned out.  Here's a sneaky peak.

I left it on the dining room table and skipped out the door with my kids for an hour's fun playing tennis in the park.

When we came home, I discovered a tragedy!  I can't even bear to tell you what happened, but it involves my new project and our dog!!!!!!!!

So to avoid another (pre-meditated) tragedy from occurring (also involving our dog!), I threw myself into making the tea, with way more gusto than I ever show (I hate cooking!).

Maybe when my emotions are a little less fragile I'll fill in the blanks.  For now, look at these pictures of the lovely flowers in my front garden, and hopefully you won't hear the screams of despair in the distance!

  3. Oh no oh no! What a total pain the bum! You know that a) you've made it once so you can make it again (even if you don't feel like doing that right now!) and b) you are going to have show us pictures of dog chewed/poo'd item when you've recovered - so we can all feel doubly sorry for you!

  5. Oh dear. Sounds horrible! I do have to say that your blooming flowers are just beautiful and looking at them cheered me right up. Hopefully, when the newness of the incident settles down, you will feel up to making another creation-- and maybe it will go faster since you've done it once before. So sorry, Judy.

  6. Awwwwww i know that heart sinking feeling as i have 6 big dogs and have had handles chewed off, new dress hem chewed, transfer pencls nicked and the stain on the carpet won't come out. BUT i still love my hounds and they are all alive and kicking although i have a very deep loud voice when im angry and its amazing how 6 dogs can dissapear from sight so fast lol.

  7. Oh poo! That is so not a nice thing to happen to you Judith. Can't you teach that dog to nick food or some such edible thing. Paws off your quilting!! Maybe when you are out the house he needs to go in a secure place, laundry room or something like that.
