We had wonderful weather here, and that drew me away from the sewing machine and into the garden.
But there has been some sewing this week.
A few more blocks for Siblings Together ...
... and progress on my Liberty Tunic.
I'm using the same simple pattern than I used for my first tunic, except this time, a more summery version using the liberty fabric I picked up several years ago in a vintage shop in Whitney!
In essence it is finished, but my feeling is it needs a little more ......... finishing!!
Buttons, lace, trim, pockets? I put the word out on IG and got great feedback (thank you peeps). I love pockets on dresses so I might add 2 patch pockets, with crochet trim and take it from there!
I need to remember that less is more, right!
Well I have 1 more week off work, and with the kids back to school tomorrow, hopefully that will mean productive sewing time!

ReplyDeletefun blocks, and your tunic is so beautiful. I vote for pockets too :)
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! It definitely needs a something extra and a patch pocket (with trim!) sounds perfect!
ReplyDeleteLove the tunic and your idea for pockets with crochet trim sounds lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I am jealous!!!! Love that liberty fabric and tunic. What about a couple of buttons on the neck line ? Can't wait to see it on. The ST blocks are lovely too.
ReplyDeletefery pretty tunic x
ReplyDeleteThe Liberty tunic is so fresh, I would have pockets too as I love pockets on most things. Library fabric is always such joy to work with, I have just taken a project of Liberty hexies out of a drawer to continue with after a long break. x
ReplyDeleteYes we had a lovely Easter with beautiful weather and a trip to Devon :) This tunic is perfect, I love Liberty and your simple style shows off the fabric beautifully
