I really enjoy the Quilt As You Go (QAYG) method of piecing and quilting all in one go! It's so satisfying using up scraps and leftover jelly roll strips! And let's face it, we are always generating more scraps!!
This shopper is of generous proportions, and has an inset zipper closure. I will be teaching it in class next term, and I'm fairly sure folks will enjoy this technique as much as I do!!
I couldn't resist making a wee matching pouch to go with it!
And in all the hustle and bustle of the pre-exhibition shenanigans, I completely forgot to tell you that I signed up for Rachael's Low Volume Charm swap! Here are my submissions, which I got from this lovely lady!

Great idea for a class! The pouches are all so cute too.
ReplyDeleteLovely! I'm sure this class will sell out in no time :)
ReplyDeleteYour class will be a hit. The tote bag is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love the bag too! Wish I was there to enrol! Next time I am home, I will be booking in to one of your beautiful classes! Have a great weekend Marie x
ReplyDeleteBrilliant shopper. This bag could have a multitude of uses since it'll be nice and sturdy with all that quilting and given its substantial size. I'm thinking knitting/crochet bag, embroidery project bag, book bag, secret chocolate storage ;-) Hope it's a popular class!
ReplyDeleteI really like QAYG and the firmness it gives to the item. It is fun to make something out of scraps. Ladies of NI sign up for this class - I wish that I could. Di x
ReplyDeleteThat'll definitely be a popular class! Like Di, I wish I could sign up for it myself! I just might try a little pouch of my own anyway... They're so incredibly cute!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely tote to be made and so good to use the scraps we all have around. I need to catch up on the QAYG method. I looks fun.
ReplyDeleteThat's going to be a super class!
ReplyDeleteYou're killing me. What would I do to get into this class!?!? Absolutely gorgeous bag. The colors, fabric and size just sing to me. xx
ReplyDeleteVery cute, especially with the wee zipper pull :o) My LV fabric arrived today for chopping up...
ReplyDeleteJudith as always your posts are just undiluted eye candy, the best kind as it doesn't pile on the pounds. Love your pouches & fab tote. Lucky Belfast ladies who will be queuing up for your class x
