You definitely need your brain running at optimum capacity for the initial measuring stages, and other parts of the body come in handy too!
I won't tell you what jokes and hilarity was going on at this stage!! |
This was a really fun way to spend a Saturday! Well done ladies!
Wow! Those look gorgeous and look at all those proud smiles! Job well done to you and Heather!!
ReplyDeleteGreat day. I'm very proud of my blind. Thanks to you and Heather for another In stitches workshop.
ReplyDeleteThey look wonderful! Having remade one (I replaced the fabric) I can safely say I need a workshop on how to do it properly...and it looks like making one from scratch is a lot faster than cobbling one together from an old curtain and an old Roman blind!
ReplyDeleteI'll send you my measurements!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great day. I know how fiddly these are to make!
ReplyDeleteOh my, that was rather early in the day to be getting your leg over... I really need to learn how to make these, I have a plan for my design wall to be something like this...
ReplyDeleteWhat Hadley said! I've been wanting to make one of these for years but never been brave enough!
ReplyDeleteSnap what Fiona said! I am not so great when it comes to measuring....but you know that already!

ReplyDeleteThanks for a great day heather & Jude. Yes you def had us in stitches more than once ;-) I'm really pleased with my blind-now to get it up! Xx
ReplyDeleteIt looks like fun! I have a window that could use a roman blind, but I don't feel yet ready to try to make one.
ReplyDeleteWah! Another course I want to do. I'm moving to Ireland!
ReplyDeleteOh, looks so much fun! x Teje
ReplyDeleteI'm moving to Ireland too - I want to come to your classes! I can only imagine the hilarity that was going on. Lovely results!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you're having a great time! Again, I'm with Susan. You need a travelling school of Judith or something.
ReplyDeleteOoh well done. Mum's made them before, but not me...
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fun day and what excellent results! Di c
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fun day all round! I'll be measuring ready for March!
ReplyDeleteI won't ask what those ladies were doing in some of those pictures! Blinds look great though.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ruth, it was a great fun day and I'm delighted with my half-a-blind. Now to get it finished. I do love learning new skills - the woodwork lesson will definitely come in handy!

ReplyDeleteHi Judith, just wanted to let you know that for some reason all the emails I send to you responding to your comments on my blog return to me as undeliverable. I'm trying to sort it out, I just wanted to let you know so you know I'm not ignoring you. Have a lovely day.
