Firstly, can I ask the owner of 'Under The Maple Tree' blog to send me their email address. You very kindly sent me an email, and I would love to reply, but unfortunately you are showing as 'no reply comment blogger'. I've visited your blog, but there is nowhere to leave a comment, sorry. Please get in touch!
I managed to get my Across the Sea QAL quilt top finished, and within schedule (just!).
No chance of photographing this on the washing line today! Katia might like it too much & whisk it away! |
This will be a cot quilt for a pregnant friend (if she has a boy that is!).
Hope you are having a great start to the new week. Hold on tight to your umbrella!
Looking great! I changed my mind about how I was finishing the top piece, thanks to Hadley, but haven't had chance to do it yet. Alas it also means all the back calculations will be off, so I need to see how it's all going to go together to see how I need to cut the back, plus I also thing I have 60" wide fabric too!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt top is looking great! Do be careful, I read the weather cautions!
ReplyDeleteOoooh! It looks so cute! Love it JJ :-)
ReplyDeleteAww its lovely :-) Now batten down the hatches! Hope you dont get too much of the wind :-) (weather that is, I'm not suggesting you have digestive "issues"...) :-P
ReplyDeleteLooking great Judith, sort of Americana.......we are being hit pretty hard with the wind now.A good day to be indoors.
ReplyDeleteLaughing at Sarah's comment!!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt top is lovely - a fleecy back would be lovely (on the quilt, that is, not so keen on a person having one!).
how pretty! the fabric you chose is really happy!
ReplyDeleteAnything I say will sound very sane compared to today's commentators!! Thanks for that image Helen!!
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt top though x
Love the colour combo on this one.
ReplyDeleteHaha! this has got to be the most gigglesome comment list ever, after all that, mine is going to sound so mundane! Love the quilt top, let me know how you get on with the fleecy back (ahem) as I'm a bit intimidated by them... :) x
ReplyDeleteThis looks so cool for a little boy and I adore the scrappy border. If she has a girl, your friend will miss out on an ace quilt!
ReplyDeleteOh I think this would totally do for a girl as well, no? Lovely quilt top!
ReplyDeleteLove it. The border really does complete these quilt tops in such a nice way.
ReplyDeleteJudith you put me to shame! I'm so far behind its embarrassing.... OK guess what I'll be doing tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteGreat front but if you want to enter for the goodies win it must have the pieced back says Jennifer! Just so you know! Love it so far and girls would love it too I think!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful -- and I'm sure a little, boy or girl, would love those doggies.
ReplyDeleteUm... pardon me, but if she doesn't have a girl, can I have first dibs please? It will make a lovely addition to mine! Love it, love it, love it. Well done you. Hope your wind wasn't to strong! ;-)
