Over the weekend I got all my blocks pieced, trimmed to 12.5" and layed out on the floor to ponder!
Not sure about that lone dark blue cross! |
Think I'll go with this one! |
While there is a lot of cutting for this wee quilt, the piecing of the blocks was v.straightforward and quick (I like!).
Next is the scrappy border - oh I love a bit of scrappy!
Yep, better minus the dark one..it's a smashing wee quilt - who is it for?
ReplyDeleteI'm with you and Sheila - the dark one was too much of a renegade. Love your colours and fabrics. That'll be you and me today then. Piecing those blocks together.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely better without the navy cross.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing the lap size ones and had a complete headache trying to arrange the blocks. I had it out all weekend rearranging every time I passed. I eventually got to the point last night of saying 'to hell with it' and went with the arrangement at that point lol
hmmm really wishing I'd joined in too... Its looking great Judith!
ReplyDeletelooks great. Like the layout you chose!
ReplyDeleteI'm only halfway through piecing my blocks. Yours look great! I'm really liking the layout you decided on :)
ReplyDeleteaaaghh - all these people positioning their blocks-I am so far behind, I still have about half left to sew!! These look great Judith, and I agree with everyone re the dark blue one
ReplyDeleteLooking cute - pop the dark one on the back - you have a head start!
ReplyDeleteLOve red, white and blue for fun! This is going to be a super wee quilt (though actually it looks quite big).
ReplyDeleteIts wonderful, I wonder if the dark blue one will turn into another quilt or a pillow to match?
ReplyDeleteIt looks great - love the variety of fabrics!
